Happy Humpday!
Here’s a little giggle to help you finish this week with a smile.
Friday Favorites
While I haven’t thought through all of my New Year’s resolutions, I do know that one will be to read & write more. My first favorite for this week is a splendid book that I’ve just finished, Girls in White Dresses. It’s truly precious.
I hope that 2013 is even more lovely than 2012. To begin, here are a few of my favorite things as of late.
Wednesday Trendsday
Happy New Year everyone! I couldn’t think of better theme for my first post of 2013 than the Color of the Year, Emerald. This hue is so deep & beautiful. I am so excited to see a jewel tone for this year.
Could this color inspiration be stemming from the release of Oz, the Great & Powerful later this year? A tale of Emerald City, before Dorothy. Something to consider…

The year of 2012 is winding down quickly. I thought the best way to truly show a few of my favorite things would be to pull a couple from this past year!
I may have gotten a bit carried away. But the below ideas & photos are just too perfect to only enjoy once.
Thirsty Thursday
Although Christmas is behind us, the Holiday Season isn’t over just yet. With New Year’s Eve coming up in just a few days I had to share this fun way to jazz up the tradition of passing Champagne. It couldn’t be more simple, just add rock candy…
The rock candy will sweeten this classic Holiday sip to pure perfection. I truly love this idea, it’s festive, pretty, and fun!
Stunning Sweets
Oh my goodness, have I seen some of the prettiest sweets this Holiday season!
Below is some inspiration for the most precious Poinsettia cookies, complete with Champagne buttercream frosting! The cookies are a simple chocolate sugar cookie (which you could even bake out of the box). The secret is the glamorous glitter sprinkled onto the Champagne Buttercream.
This decadent treat will be a perfect addition to any dessert table this Christmas.
